Our History

An Introduction to Duty Free Distributors

Duty Free Distributors has been operating for over 30 years throughout the Caribbean Islands, Mayan and Mexican Riviera, Alaska cruise ship destinations, Duty Free airports and selling to the Cruise Ships as well. We are a sales representative organization, with a sales force speci cally assigned to individual brands and territories. In this way, we provide the utmost in customer service.

We represent a portfolio of brands that do not compete with each other. These brands include Raymond Weil (over 30 years representation), Roberto Coin (over 20 years), Alor (over 6 years), and a few others. In many cases we have been instrumental in building the brand from the ground up in the Caribbean Islands and maintaining and/or growing the sales and brand exposure.

We open accounts in major tourist destinations, including the Caribbean, Alaska and Mexico.

We are very closely connected to all of the dealings that go on in each island. We know which accounts are reputable, and which accounts aren’t. This enables us to open doors that we know are safe when it comes to payables, presentation and sell-through.

Before opening any new door, we undertake a thorough analysis of new accounts to ensure they will uphold the image of our vendors. In this way, we maintain the integrity and purity of the product and alleviate any possible discounting.

Our Objectives

  1. Open new accounts in each territory we cover for vendors who have not had a presence in such venues.

  2. Monitor vendor’s promotions and incentives, where applicable, for maximum performance of brands advertising campaign and sell-through.

  3. Strategically place vendors in the appropriate accounts.
  4. Maximize our vendors’ exposure and real estate in the territories we cover.

  5. Schedule regular store visits for merchandising, training, and inventory control.

  6. Manage reorders through core replenishment, and manage vendor’s receivables with our accounts.
